the law. and now the unions will hold their feet to the fire by taking them to court. kron 4's dan kerman has more on this latest chapter in the contract dispute. >> reporter:attorneys for barts? two largest unions have filed suit in alameda county superior court against bart and its board of directors for refusing to approve and implement a tentative contract agreement reached between unions and management back in october. unions say bart?s decision to remove a paid family medical leave provision before approving the contract is a violation of state law. >> reporter:bart maintains the family leave provision is too costly, should not have been in the contract in the first place and was a mistake. unions say that will not hold up in court as a justifiable cause. unions also addressed the possibility of going back on strike. >> one side the union employer has second thoughts or remorse to say where we did not agree on something as a way of getting out. as a result of required those employer signed the contract that they agreed to. >> we have not planned or scheduled a strike at that time. w
